Virtual Drop-In Classes

Virtual classes happen via Zoom. You must register for class 60 minutes prior to the start of every class. Clients will receive an email 30 minutes prior to the start time with a link to access the class via Zoom. Zoom can be accessed through a computer, phone, or tablet. Cameras are optional always, but it does help to ensure safety and proper execution of movements.

Cost: $12 + HST per class or $50 + HST for a 5 class pack,

new monthly commitments per class type/time -

purchase these at the start of each month to get those classes for $8+HST/class.

Pilates

This Pilates mat class is open to all levels and experiences, with varying ranges of difficulty to meet everyone’s needs and goals. Learn how to move your shoulders, spine, and hips with control, as you gain flexibility, strength and power. With a strong focus on proper core engagement and control, the skills you learn in class are easily transferable and applied to your other training modalities. This is a mind and body class, learning how to fully understand where we initiate movements from and how to properly engage the correct muscle groups. Bare feet or grip socks and a mat are required.

Strength Training

Learn the 5 main movement patterns of squatting, lunging, hinging, pushing and pulling in this full body strength session. This strength training class can be be taken with or without weights. Proper form and technique is the most important. Quality movement over quantity always. No experience is required. Build your confidence in this safe and welcoming training environment. If you have access to equipment, you are welcome to use them. If not, utilize your bodyweight to move successfully in class. Strength Training + Stretch adds on an additional 15-20 minute stretch at the end of the class depending on the day. Mondays are 1 hour, Saturdays are 55 minutes.

Barre

Inspired by ballet and Pilates, this endurance-based class will have you moving through lots of repetitions, using light weights, and feeling the ultimate barre burn. This class moves to the beat of the music, but proper form is the most important, so don’t stress if you feel like you’re moving on your own time. This class has been described as the perfect combo between Pilates and Cardio Dance Party!

CARDIO DANCE PARTY

Who doesn’t love to shake and shimmy?! Join the Discover You community while we shake and sweat together to the latest and greatest tunes. Have fun, break a sweat, and let loose in a judgement free, no experience required to join, environment. Running shoes (and a towel!) are required. Dance experience is not required.

 

STRENGTH 101

This is a monthly registered program. Commitment renews month to month. This class is designed to be a perfect in between from a Zoom drop-in class and personal training. Very small class sizes, cameras on, individual feedback, and a program to track your progress.

Each class is $15+HST, but the payment is made for the month in advance. This commitment allows clients to master and intensify the movements all while under the guidance of a coach in real time. The groups are a really positive, safe space to explore new movements and feel confident in strength training, together.

Virtual Class Policies

Classes must be paid in full prior to coming to a class. A 6 hour cancellation policy is in effect. Please cancel out of your class at least 6 hours in advance to avoid losing your class. All virtual drop-in classes must be used within 3 months of the date purchased. Classes can be used for any Discover You weekly group fitness class but not for special events or workshops. Classes are first come first serve and have a limited capacity so it is best to book your spot ahead of time. Monthly commitment packages do not transfer over month-to-month.

Registered classes (Strength 101) are paid in full prior to the first class. If a session is missed, the class is lost and will not transfer over to future months.

 

In-Person Classes

As of April 2022, Rachel will be offering one in-person class each week. The class type will be a barre/pilates combo class.

When: Thursdays 6-6:50pm

Where: Three Tides Wellness, 160 King St S, Waterloo

What: Barre/Pilates combo class

Extra notes: Bring your own mat! Doors open 10 minutes before class. Enter through the side door and head up the stairs. Masks are required upon entry, but can be removed once you are on your mat.

Pricing: drop-ins ($21+HST/class), 5-packs ($19+HST/class), and monthly packages ($17+HST/class) available
